As part of TakeOverFest 2015 incrEDIBLE poetry will take over Hunt and Darton Cafe.

Words are more than just shapes on paper; they can eat you up. When someone loves you they can be delicious.

Using a little food and a little imagination Talia Randall invites you to join in this workshop that shows you how to make poetry, then eat it.

Talia Randall is a multi-discipline Performance Artist with roots in spoken word.

Talia has been commissioned by major venues such as the Roundhouse to make cross-arts theatre shows, collaborated with filmmakers to make award winning poetry-films and performed across the UK at The Southbank Centre, Battersea Arts Centre, The Roundhouse, Bristol Old Vic, Glastonbury, Latitude, The Edinburgh Fringe and many more.

Talia’s work is about speaking the unspeakable and capturing moments that we all share but find difficult to communicate. Driven by collaboration and play Talia is constantly growing her practice, exploring new art forms and ways of communicating with audiences.

Coming from a non-traditional arts background Talia has not undertaken formal training but has a learning by doing approach to her work. This ‘anti-discipline’ mentality drives Talia’s curious and evolving multi-disciplinary practice.

Talia is also an experienced Community Worker. In establishing the curriculum at social mobility charity Future First and running programmes at youth charity Envision, Talia worked with thousands of young people across the world.

Talia runs her own spoken word and theatre-making workshops at various institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts, The Roundhouse and schools across the UK. She also runs 'incrEDIBLE poetry' workshops (poems you can eat!) as well as private one-to-one classes.

Talia combines her artistic and community experience in her work with Animage, the multi-award winning film company. Animage creates stunning animations that highlight the abuse of women. Covering topics such as sex-trafficking, forced marriage and FGM, these films act as resources for specialist organisations as well as being a tool for mobilising public opinion.
