This event is now sold out but we encourage you to book onto the waiting list, and you will know by Friday whether a place has become available. Can't make it? How about a two films about fungi at Lucem House on Thursday 5th October instead?

Join artist and fungus enthusiast Jane Lawson for a day learning about and celebrating all things fungi! You will be brought into close contact with fungi in a variety of ways: through sight, touch, smell and taste.

On UK Fungus Day, the annual celebration of our fungal world, we invite you to delve deeper and learn more about the fungi found in our local green spaces. Jane will take you through a process of Being Fungal, at one of the North West Fungus Groups’ most popular mushroom spots.

Weather permitting, we’ll spend the morning outside interacting with nature. We encourage you to dress for all weathers, but if it gets too wet, we’ll head inside the Visitor Centre.
