We're expanding our Creative People and Places programme into Knowsley!

1st Dec 2021

Today we received exciting news from Arts England Council that Heart of Glass will be able to continue our Creative People and Places programme across St Helens while expanding our activities into neighbouring Knowsley.

Heart of Glass, will be one of 14 Creative People and Places projects in the North to receive lottery funding over the next three years, supporting grassroots-led cultural experiences.

As our CEO Patrick Fox, put it:

"We're thrilled to receive the news that we will be continuing our Creative People and Places journey. We're particularly excited to welcome partners in neighbouring Knowsley into the CPP family and to continue to support work made with and by communities across St Helens and now Knowsley. We've been on an amazing journey since 2014 and are continuously astounded by the creativity and passion of our community and artist collaborators and we look forward to growing new things together and telling stories that matter with the support of this Arts Council investment."

Darren Henley, Chief Executive of Arts Council England, said:

“These projects change villages, towns and cities for the better, helping people to lead happier, healthier lives. Our new investment means more people in more places across England will benefit from that magical spark of possibility, innovation and invention that only happens when culture and creativity becomes part of their daily lives.”
