About the role


This is a hands-on role where you’ll help connect people with our work through thoughtful, accessible communications. You’ll create content across digital, print, newsletters and in-person activity, helping us reach new audiences and deepen relationships with the communities we work with.

You’ll lead specific projects and support the Head of Marketing and Communications on wider campaigns. The role blends marketing, communications and community engagement, with opportunities to experiment, learn and see the direct impact of your work.

You’ll be part of a small team where ideas are shared, collaboration is encouraged, and everyone contributes to shaping how we connect with our communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting audience development and building relationships with community groups, partners and local networks

  • Planning and delivering marketing campaigns across digital, print and face-to-face channels

  • Creating engaging content for social media, newsletters and the website

  • Producing accessible, audience-focused marketing materials

  • Monitoring engagement and using insight to improve future activity

  • Supporting launch events and wider communications activity

Who we’re looking for

Someone who is organised, creative and enjoys working with people.

You might already work in marketing or communications, or have experience in audience development or community engagement. Most importantly, you’ll be interested in how thoughtful communications can help connect people with culture.

You’ll bring:

  • Professional experience in marketing, communications or audience development and/or relevant qualification

  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills

  • Experience using digital channels such as social media and newsletters

  • An understanding of accessible and inclusive communications

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with colleagues and partners

Desirable

  • Experience working in arts, culture or the charity sector

  • Knowledge of Arts Council funding or reporting processes
