Laura-Kate Draws

Laura-Kate is an illustrator, printmaker, and creative arts practitioner with over 14 years of experience working on diverse commissions for clients such as Leftcoast, Historic England, Arts Council Collection, Tate Liverpool, Chester Contemporary, and The Royal Society of Chemistry. Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in social arts, exploring the connections between people, community, and place—often against historical, cultural, or environmental backdrops.

Passionate about the role of creativity in empowerment, mental health, and wellbeing, she delivers person-centred workshops across various artistic disciplines, fostering discovery learning and skill development. She has worked with a wide range of diverse groups, including SEN individuals, migrants, people living with dementia, and school groups. With a PG Cert in Conservation and Sustainability Education, she is particularly interested in projects that intersect art, nature, and environmental education, making creativity accessible and meaningful for all.

Her own work is predominantly hand-drawn, using a variety of media, with a particular love for painting, Procreate, and printmaking techniques such as screen and lino printing to explore texture and pattern. Passionate about observational and narrative illustration, she creates layered, textural artworks with interwoven meaning that invite storytelling and interpretation.
