Sing Your Heart Out

Since September 2025

Sing Your Heart Out is a community song project bringing people together through music, storytelling, and shared creativity across St Helens and Knowsley.

Sing Your Heart Out: St Helens

Developed in collaboration with Come Together and Atticus Arts, participants explored every stage of creating a song - from writing lyrics and composing melodies to arranging and performing - while contributing their own personal stories and experiences.

Heart of Glass worked with Come Together to ensure a safe, welcoming space for all participants. Atticus Arts artists Aimee and Taran Harris guided the creative process, blending professional musical expertise with community insight. The outcome of the project was an inclusive and joyful musical piece celebrating creativity, connection, and shared experiences.

The project's final song 'Never Alone, Never Again' was captured in a short film by filmmaker Caroline Smith and recorded as a song. Buy it here, all proceeds go to Come Together Hub to support their work.

Participants: Claire, Dan, Jamie, Jim, Joe, Lisa

Sing Your Heart Out: Knowsley

Musician Paul Tallant worked with members of Kirkby’s University of the Third Age (U3A) to explore singing and songwriting together. Each participant wrote and performed their own song, contributed to each other’s arrangements, and collaborated on a joyful group track inspired by their love of tea - capturing the warmth and spirit of the sessions.
