Never Retrain

This performance was created in response to artists being told to retrain during the lockdown of 2020.

The work focuses on how The Year of the Rat Collective responded to this message, creating poems, photos and music all of which the Rats wouldn’t know how to create if they hadn’t had a creative education. At the end the performance, The Rats specify never retrain.

The performance is aimed towards new and emerging artists, such as those stepping into the industry for the first time and graduates like the Rats wanting to use their training to become professional artists.
