What Connects Us?

20th May 2025
Short Read

This spring, we’re excited to share a programme that gets right to the heart of who we are - recognising the power and possibility of art and art-making to create spaces for listening, sparking connection, and dreaming up new worlds together.

Shaped by many voices and made with a shared sense of purpose, care, and plenty of cups of tea (!), these are projects built with artists, neighbours and people with diverse lived experiences.

These are stories that don’t fit neatly into headlines: often overlooked or forced into binaries — from masculinity to migration, working-class pride to joyful ageing, and grief

In a world that too often isolates and divides us - we’ll be creating spaces to feel, heal, connect and listen - with moments of joy, ritual and cabaret!

These are stories deeply rooted in housing estates, social clubs, libraries and green spaces across Merseyside — shaped through conversations and collaborations that stretch across borders and land, connecting with voices in Ireland, Wales, Malaysia and beyond.

It’s a programme that reflects a bold, imaginative vision for the role of culture in shaping place and community and our belief in art as a space to imagine new futures. Together.

Projects include...
