Sarah is interested in listening. Her aim is to reveal hidden or create new narratives through conversation and collaboration with people, places and organisations. She originally trained in theatre, literature and play, and now uses these practices responsively.
Much of Sarah's work focuses on children and young people, and the adults who work with them. She has worked both as a practitioner and strategic leader in this field. In the last two years, she has worked with looked after children and homeless young people, supported organisations to redesign their practice with young people, and supported the development of socially engaged artists.
The most recent example of her work is Girl on the Gate, created with 9 children in Liverpool during the pandemic. This was generated through the exchange of letters.
