Lucía Arias
Lucía Arias is Learning Manager at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, where she leads a programme that bridges artistic practice with pedagogical approaches. She develops long-term collaborations with artists to produce commissioned works for exhibition and sustained participatory projects, while designing arts-based learning activities and resources that extend engagement beyond the gallery.
Before joining FACT, she led the education programme at LABoral Centro de Arte in Xixón, Spain, where artists and young people collaborated in a digital technology lab to develop community-driven projects. She has presented her work at FabLearn (2013–2015), Transmediale 2016, and ISEA 2022. Her practice sits at the intersection of critical pedagogy and participatory arts, and she is currently doing a PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University.
