Gillian O Connor is a community youth worker based in Rialto, Dublin with over 20 years’ experience working alongside young people in their community. She is currently working as a Team leader at Dolphin House Homework club, which is a community after school project with a focus on education and arts-based practice.

At the heart of the work is a deep commitment to amplifying young people's voices and creating meaningful spaces where they feel heard. The work has focused on a belief in the transformative power of arts, education and gender-based work including work with a group currently on the Boys in the Making programme. The practice is rooted in the critical social education model of youth work working towards social change, and a belief that every young person deserves a space to be seen, to grow and to tell their own story.
