29 On Now

Ella Otomewo’s journey as an artist began in the spoken word community. Ella is a poet, performer, and educator, who makes work that is candid, reflective, and symbolic.

Ella facilitates workshops for universities, community groups, libraries, schools, and festivals; and has performed her poetry all over the UK and in Europe. Her most recent collaborations have been with Lancaster Arts, Quarantine, Young Identity, the Portico Library, The World Reimagined, and Contact Theatre.

In her latest project, Ella is exploring the human relationship with water through storytelling. The process will be multidisciplinary and collaborative; using shadow puppetry, poetry, task-based performance, and sensory theatre.
