Lunch with a difference

Back to News

The best attended Get Out! event to date saw 17 people from across the borough make the short trip down the East Lancs to visit Hunt & Darton Café.

The award winning pop up café was open from March 5th-25th as part of the annual SICK Festival. Artists Jenny Hunt and Holly Darton hosted the group that included Yellow Door Artists, St Helens College and Knit & Natter from Newton-Le-Willows.

The afternoon, themed around Christmas as it was the 25th day of the month included lunch, a quiz and table side performances.

Our Get Out! programme is a chance for St.Helens Artists, Producers and Communities to visit projects and initiatives locally and nationally.

You may be interested in a specific project in another part of the country that you feel could resonate with St.Helens, or you may wish to see a specific work that will inspire you in your own work.

The Heart of Glass team will be curating Get Out! opportunities throughout the year based on our conversations with communities and partners locally. To see the latest opportunities, please visit the What’s On section of the website.
