St Helens Family Art Club is hitting the road this summer.
The established weekend workshops have attracted more than 2,000 participants since it was launched by Heart of Glass in 2014.
Now on average 50 participants take part in bi-monthly sessions in St Mary’s Market with every changing themes from artists.
The next four sessions in the market have been scheduled, before the roadshow takes families to St Helens Central Library, The Newton Show and Liverpool City Centre
The next session is Saturday, May 21st with participants using their senses and interesting materials to create a window installation with Michiko Fujii.
Further sessions take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays in May, June and July 12.30pm-4pm.
The Family Art Club Summer Roadshow kicks off with The Critter Shed Comics on Saturday, July 16th.
Claire Weetman, Artist and Producer, said: “We have a fantastic following of regulars and it’s always great to see newcomers. The sessions are drop in style and completely free for everyone.
“The artists are really excited about the roadshows and we hope they capture the imagination this summer.”

THE CRITTER SHED COMICS
Try your hand at screen-printing a cover for a comic, then be guided by Critter Shed’s illustrators to draw your own comic book inspired by themes from Roald Dahl’s stories.

MARVELLOUS MENAGERIE MASKS
Hannah Bold will guide you to make oversized animal masks using a mix of drawing, printing and collage techniques. We invite you to join us through the day to parade the finished masks around The Newton Show.
