Ever wanted to be on the radio? Been harbouring disc jockey dreams or drivetime desires?

You might have heard them in Liscard earlier in the Spring, and now Hunt & Darton are returning to St Helens with Radio Local, a brand new hyper-local radio station, with locals, for locals. And you can be part of it!

Join Hunt & Darton for a whistlestop tour of the world of radio presenting. This FREE two day workshop will get your fingers on the buttons and your voice on the airwaves, introducing you to the key skills involved in hosting a show on the radio. Conduct interviews, compose jingles, brush up on your banter – and bring everything together for your own bespoke broadcast.

There’s even an opportunity to have your vocal stylings included as part of Hunt & Darton’s live show, Radio Local on Saturday 29th June, which will be performed and broadcast live from Church Square, St Helens, and via our local radio partner, soon to be announced!

The Radio Local workshop is free, fun and suitable for ages 8+. (Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult)

Hunt & Darton are a decade-long Live Art collaboration between Jenny Hunt and Holly Darton. They are self-taught Radio Presenters within their Radio Local project – making a brand new hyper-local radio station, with locals, for locals.

Supported by Arts Council England. Commissioned by Heart of Glass.

The workshop will take place over two days, you must be available to attend both days of the workshop and booking is essential:

Saturday 15th June 11-4pm
Sunday 16th June 11-3.30pm

Venue: Church Square, 26 Church Street, St Helens,  WA10 1AA
