CALL FOR FEMALE PARTICIPANTS AGED 13 – 18
TO CREATE ST. HELENS VERY OWN INTERACTIVE GHOST WALK!

We are looking for enthusiastic young women to collaborate on a new interactive ‘ghost walk’ in St. Helens.
The series of workshops and the final run of shows will offer you a rare insight into the world of creating a live show whether
you want to perform, create sets and costumes, work on stage make-up, or run things from behind the scenes.
The ghost walk will be devised, performed, and produced by you, and the work you create will be presented to the public in
October 2015. This is a friendly and non-stressful environment. Creative, supportive and a lot of fun. All you need to bring is a
desire to create and a willingness to try out new ideas.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

In order to take part you must be female, aged 13 – 18 years old, and live in St. Helens.

For your chance to find out more, we will be holding a recruitment workshop on Wednesday 9 September, 5 – 7pm.
At Heart of Glass, The Beechams Building, Water Street, St. Helens, WA10 1QL (off Westfield Street).

To register for the workshop please email info@heartofglass.org.uk, with your name, age,
phone number and whether you are interested in performing, set and costume, stage make-up or behind the scenes work.
Places are limited, registering your place on the recruitment workshop is essential.

If you have any questions please email or call us on 01744 623 290

MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project is directed by Carnesky Productions, a theatre company led by Marisa Carnesky, responsible for original interactive
shows that work with themes of the funfair, magic illusions, horror and the bizarre. Marisa will be opening up her trunk of delights
and sharing her tricks of the trade including theatrical devices, recipes for devising, and age old stagecraft techniques.
This project is part of the Take Over Fest, a Heart of Glass initiative developed and directed by SCOTTEE for St. Helens.
Supported by the Helena Housing Make it Happen project.
